My paintings are enjoyable from a distance for their composition and dynamism that intrigue the eye, but the real secret lies in the tiny DETAILS ... 

The technique I use allows me to obtain shades, softness and contrasts at the same time, which can only be observed by looking at the paintings from close up.

In order to give depth  to the color, I add many layers of colors and washes wich overlap like silk veils, that cannot be seen, only sensed from distance. 

The graphic details, colored pencil marks, graphite pencils and wax crayons that I add, satisfy my need to give a worn out antique look, almost like wrinkles  of a hand that has worked a life or a wooden door that has experienced the weather for centuries.

I use high quality materials from the best brands that are available, to be sure that the colors will not loose their brightness over time. 

I apply a layer of matte varnish to all my paintings

which does not alter the colors but protects them from dust, mechanical alterations and most important from UV rays.
